The Lakes Area is defined by bountiful natural resources. A myriad of lakes, streams, rivers, and wetlands compose a predominant portion of our area. At the heart of the waterways is a diverse mix of pristine lakes. Otter Tail Lake, West Battle Lake, East Battle Lake, and Clitherall Lake are clean, large lakes with strong recreational attraction. They range in size from several thousand acres to more than 14,000 acres of clear water. The area is also home to many small and private lakes known for their unique environmental and recreational characteristics.

Whether it’s just down the hill on Lake Avenue, or at the smallest waterways in the area, you’ll find well-kept launch and docking areas. Given the great accessibility, resident and visitors are often faced with the enviable dilemma of “which lake should I explore today?”.
